Notifications
What the bell shows, which emails Complaintr sends, and how to turn them off.
Complaintr tells you about what concerns you directly. It never sends a notification, an email, or a message for each complaint that comes in: when many customers write, that would only be noise. The Inbox and the weekly summary cover what arrived.
The bell
The bell in the page header lists your notifications, newest first, with a count of unread ones. Opening one takes you to the page it is about and marks it read; Mark all as read clears the count. Read notifications are removed after 90 days.
In the app
Under Settings > Notifications > In the app, turn each group on or off. Each switch saves at once.
| Group | You are told when |
|---|---|
| Assignments | A complaint is routed to you or your unit, and a complaint you routed is done |
| Team | Someone invites you to a team, and someone answers an invitation you sent |
| Projects | The widget is seen on your site and the project opens, and Core passes a customer's message to you |
| Core usage | Most of your monthly Core allowance is used, and all of it is, at most once a month each |
Under Settings > Notifications > Email, choose which emails go to the address on your profile. Each switch saves at once.
| Sent when | |
|---|---|
| Weekly summary | Every Monday after a week with new complaints: how many came in, how that compares with the week before, how many are still open or high or critical, and the busiest projects |
| Complaint assignments | A teammate routes a complaint to you or your unit |
| Team invitations | Someone invites you to their team |
| Needs follow-up | Core passes a customer's message to you, if you chose email for it |
| Install instructions | A site owner sends you the steps to add their widget |
| Account updates | The welcome email and a plan code confirmation |
Unsubscribe from all emails stops all of them at once. Every email also ends with an Unsubscribe link that opens the same choices without signing in.
Verification and password reset emails are always sent, because signing in depends on them.
