Core answers direct messages about your business on Instagram.

Customers can send a direct message to Complaintr's Instagram account, @trycomplaintr, and name your business. Core answers them for your project. There is nothing to connect.

What Core does

  • Answers questions from what it knows about your business.
  • Files a complaint when something went wrong, after reading the summary back and getting a clear yes.
  • Passes the message to a person when only your team can help, such as an order, a price, a partnership, or a request to talk to someone. The sender agrees first and is told a person will get back to them.

Only direct messages start a conversation. Comments and mentions are ignored. Core marks each message as seen and shows that it is typing while it works, and its replies are plain text.

After a complaint is filed, the customer can ask for its card: Core sends the share link and the card image. See Share a complaint.

Answering what Core passed on

A message Core passed on appears under Needs follow-up with the sender's Instagram username. Open conversation opens their profile, so you can reply from your own Instagram account, then press Mark done.

Images and videos

A DM can carry photos or a video. The assistant looks at them while it writes the complaint, and they are kept with it for your team. Up to 4 images (PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP, 10 MB each) and 1 video (MP4, MOV, or WebM, 50 MB) per message. A video reaches the assistant without its sound. The files appear under Attachments on the complaint.

Test it

Send a direct message to @trycomplaintr that names your project, ask a question Core should know, then describe a test problem and say yes. The complaint appears in the Inbox with the Instagram DM source.
