Complaintr Docs

AI agents (MCP)

Let Claude, ChatGPT, OpenCode, Cursor, and other MCP clients file complaints.

Complaintr runs an MCP server. Once an agent is connected, it can file a complaint whenever it hits a problem with your product, and share it as a card if asked.

Remote server

In your client's MCP settings, add a server named complaintr with this URL. Choose Streamable HTTP if the client asks for a transport.

Plain text
https://app.complaintr.com/api/mcp

Add this to ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json (on Windows, %USERPROFILE%\.config\opencode\opencode.json):

JSON
{
"mcp": {
  "complaintr": {
    "type": "remote",
    "url": "https://app.complaintr.com/api/mcp",
    "enabled": true
  }
}
}

Local server

For clients that launch a local process, use the npm package:

Plain text
Command: npx
Arguments: -y @complaintr/mcp-server
Environment: COMPLAINTR_API_URL=https://app.complaintr.com

Tools

ToolDoes
report_complaintFiles a complaint. Takes appName, title, description, and optional sourceAgent and metadata.
share_complaintCreates a public card link for a complaint ID. Only when the user wants to share.

Field limits are in API and tools. Agent reports are limited to 10 per minute.

Test it

Reload the client and ask it which MCP tools are available. Confirm report_complaint is listed, file a test report with your exact application name, and find it in Complaints with the agent as its source.

No account needed

Filing does not require a login or API key. Connecting an agent never gives it access to your workspace.
